Lot's of quick supermarkets dumped back on TNS today, wish they would sack people who keep doing this and allow us professionals more money making opportunities
  • Can't be gender then- must be age!
    Gaffa tape?? Kidnapping someone??

You need to be a panel member to see them, until they try to shift the leftovers.

Is a panel member something different then? Some super whizzy shopper?

Well, before you get too hot under the collar, just bear in mind that some of us may have a darn good reason for cancelling a job!

It is EXTREMELY rare for me to cancel anything but today I discovered that the visit time on my fast supermarket has apparently been changed from a day time to an evening visit. I am quite sure it was a daytime job when I booked it - a lot of them are evenings and I avoid those like the plague so I know I checked the times properly. It is possible that TNS have changed timings for other people as well and that may be the reason for 'dumping'.

Yeah, it's invite only, but they open up the jobs to everyone when they get close to deadline. It's not that great a privilege.
  • Sheesh, is it me , or are these GFK phone questionnaires a complete pain in the rear? They seem to be asking me the same question twice but asking me not to make the two replies the same. I also love the way they log me out when I'm 3/4 of the way through a page

And I won't be doing any more pet stores-I came home with a guinea pig. Show me something small, furry and cute and I can't help myself :D
  • Doh-I completely forgot my reason for posting! I meant to ask-has anyone got any experience of claiming tax tax credits whilst doing this? I've claimed as self employed before, but I'm not too sure how it will work with all the expenses involved in this? Any ideas?

One other thing-is it true that you can only do hotels for RE if you have a business email and number? I did one and got refunded no problem and I haven't got either.

You can do the hotels when they get desperate and offer them to anyone... generally you wont see them if you don't have thebusiness address... also they do have SOME hotels that are couple visits for leisure that is for everyone.

    I claim child tax credits.

At the beginning of the tax year, you need to estimate your net profit figure (income less expenses).

Then at the end of the tax year, you ring up and give them your actual figures for the year.

If you think you have made a huge mistake in your estimate, you can ring during the year and let them know.
Here I go again on my own....

Yes! Agree totally. They're straight forward enough in terms of scenario, but this repeating the question thing always winds me up. I think Gfk are the company that ask for the left, right and OPPOSITE shop too....I often forget to check the opposite until after I've walked away from the shop, so end up having to walk back around....derrr!
