Why can you not just save the image??Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700

Help, nothing happens when I press the button.
Some computers need you to press Control (CTRL) and hold it down while you press Print Screen.
It will seem like nothing happens but when you open another file and so "edit - paste", the image will paste into your file.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
On mine I have to hold the Fn (function) button, as Print screen shares the Insert button.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700

I'm a bit green with the computer, which is the easiest way to do it folks?0

Easiest wasy is to press the print screen button on the top left of your keyboard and then paste it into Word or similar doc.
Many thanks, I have not been allocated any of these surveys yet so keeping fingers crossed I get some and then all ready to go.
I was only allocated one survey (holiday website) did it quickly and so none outstanding. Do you know how the allocation system works, ie first to apply, regular surveyers get first option, most reliable people, longest serving people etc etc. Hopefully will get some more soon:)0 -
It might depend exactly on your computer, as seen in the last few posts, different keyboards have the Print screen function in different places.
Have a look aon the buttons such as Insert, Scroll, delete etc and see if any of those or surrounding ones are what you're looking for. Mine says 'Prt Sc' in a little box under 'Insert' (on the same button), so I have to hold the 'Fn' button while I press it. Some you have to press control. There's probably other ways for different computers too though!!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Still struggling, can i do it as in my quote?
Sorry, don't understand what you mean.
It's simple, honest.
(1) Open Paint ("start menu, programmes, accessories, paint" on my netbook, might be different for you.)
(2) Get the page you want the screen print of, find the button that says "Prt Sc" on it and press it.
(3) Go to paint, click on "Edit", "Paste". Your image should appear. Save it. Done!!!
If you have an older machine, and it doesn't work, try pressing the Ctrl & Prt Sc buttons together and doing as above. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
