Hi guys!

I moved into my house for this year (a little bit wary, I'd never met any of my housemates for the year, one lived in the house last year and two are international students. Met them now though, they're all awesome) and the house itself isn't too bad, a little shabby here and there but on the whole quite good. The only real problem is the Fridge-Freezer.

Basically the fridge part doesn't work (literal room temperature – the light will come on but that’s it) but the freezer part does (sort of, there’s not a proper seal so it frosts over dramatically).
The freezer door itself needs supporting as the hinges are half broken and the freezer door falls onto the fridge door if unsupported – opening the freezer (we’ve been using several thin bits of wood to support it, wedging them between the gap in the fridge and freezer doors on landlord instruction).
My housemate who lived in the house last year says the fridge was in a similar condition back then too (apparently they had one that was working brilliantly but the landlord swapped it out with the one we have now) and I was curious to if the Fridge-Freezer is something the landlord should replace, if it’s something we’ll have to do ourselves or if it's usual for both landlord and tenant to contribute towards.
Cheers in advance!:A

Have you reported the broken fridge to the Landlord?
Is the fridge listed on the inventory you should've got with your tenancy agreement?
