Why don't you all file formal complaints to Triton and if you don't get any satisfaction then you can look to progress the matter further i.e. FSA / OFT etc.
Don't let the idiots push you around.0 -
I also received a letter from Triton regarding my NW credit card, saying that I had to pay the full balance or else (probably one step before what you've experienced?). Instead of contacting Triton, I called Natwest CC services itself, offered a starting payment of £50. I then called them back a few hours later and set up a payment arrangement (equalling, at Natwest's suggestion..., a monthly payment of £7 or 1.5% of the original balance + frozen interest). They told me that if I don't pay this, they will pass me back on to Triton immediately. I guess the reason this worked it that it's cheaper for NW if I pay them directly. Fortunately, I'm now in a position to pay off the whole balance this month.
I hope this helps someone,

if you offer to up payments to triton through payplan. Then payplan, will say all debts have to be paid pro rata, if you up one payments to who ever that you have to up all over debt payments to other creditors. The rule is far as l know that if other creditors know you are paying someone more. They would possibly upset and want the same..0

Triton are an absolute nightmare. Rude, aggresive and total pain in the backsides. My OH had dealings with them and it got to the point where she was in tears. Where they employ these people from god only knows.
I took the phone off her one night and mentioned some regulation (cannot remember which one, sorry) and after abuse from the idiot on the other end the account was eventually passed back to Nat West where she now pays £10 per month. Do not give in to these people and i would stick with Payplan as Triton refused to take payments over the phone from my OH debit card. Something they cannot do by the way. What they did not know was that previous to that they sent her out a payment book so she used that. They were trying to show that she had not paid so they could take her to court.
Good luck

We got another letter of Triton, who asked us to increase our payments,I wrote straight back to triton also passing the letter on to Payplan which we told triton, about the increase we said we are unable to do so, because of hubby is on benefits which is a static fixed sum. Its unfair to increase just them, also also payplan would insist we have to increase other payments to creditors. As triton is top of the ladder owing the most they get the biggest share, also we said barclaycard has accpted offer from payplan.. We gave them an update on hubby medical problems which prevents him working also his age is nearly 61 yrs old.
we are waiting for the replies.. will update further. Is this the correct way to replying to triton who seem to playing mind games with us..
On our first pasting of the message.. we realised that Triton is blaming via us to Payplan, for not responding to their demands, but we getting the blame for it, by issued letter threatening court with the debt.. Then payplan saying they have responded... the mind boddles at times ty lindann xx0 -
Ignore Triton. Tell them Payplan is dealing with them and then ignore them. Why should Triton get special treatment just because they are rude and obnoxious? Payplan will dish out all your payments fairly to all your creditors. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

l cannot remember when triton had taken over from dealing with RBS, but we have been paying the debt for four years feb 2003, it was ok then because hubby had a small job, but circumstances alter, so we have to accpt that these debts will take time to pay out.. thank you for your advice.. we will pass all letters from triton, we will acknowledge we got them.. let payplan deal with it...0 -
