Santander Zero Account

As an existing Santander mortgage customer I have a Zero account. This account is only offered to mortgage or investment customers and offers no fees on agreed overdrafts.

We have now agreed the sale of our property and will be settling the mortgage as we will be moving in with parents to get financially sorted.

How quick will Santander be to realise we are no longer a mortgage customer and thus no longer eligible for the account. Will they move our account to another type or just continue with the Zero account offers???

I also have a zero current account. I closed down the qualifying investment product in July, but still seem to be getting the 5% interest. I got the interest in July and this month - not August as I didn't credit the £1000 min.

Not sure if the fee-free card use abroad still works as I haven't been away.

It also still says 'Zero Current Account' when I log in to my internet banking.

As I understand it, the overdraft still has an interest charge, its just cheaper, but if you go beyond your limit and have paid in the min £1000, you won't get any transaction charges, the £25, £35 (etc) charges.
