Getting your card into Credit!!

So a credit card in credit - i've heard it can be done. But what do the banks do?

Have you ever had an experience where you have (for example) paid off £50 on a balance of £49.00 and left the £1 extra in the credit card account?

If so, what happened to you?

No problem with smal amounts. You can
    • keep it,
    • spend it,
    • ask them to send you a cheque or to make a transfer to your current accont.
Some banks don't like big positive balances and can insist in returning them to the account where the money originally came from.

There is a unique Egg Money card that encourages having a positive balance by paying 4% interest on it.

My Mint card was 720 in credit at one point...

I paid it off. Closed it.
    Freemans refunded 720 to it.
Mint ACCEPTED the refund and didnt tell me.
Got a cheque about a month later.
