JSA (IB) Mortgage interest payments

Hi everyone, i am on JSA (IB) and the DWP are helping to pay towards my mortgage interest payments. The DWP have recently halfed what they used to pay and now i am struggling to pay my mortgage every month. I called the DWP but they just said to contact my mortgage lender and come to an agreement with them.
I told all of this to my father and he said that he was willing to invest some money in my property, a lump sum to pay off a chunk of my mortgage and thus bringing the repayments down on my mortgage and making them alot more manageable for me.
Do you think that the JSA/DWP would allow this??
Thanks from Lee:(

Hi I sympathise as my daughter is in the same position and has to find an extra £20 a week.
If your father pays off some of the capital then the interest payments would be less as well. I suggest you speak to the DWP about whether they would allow this and also your mortgage provider to find out the actual capital/ interest ratio you are/ will be paying.
Not sure if this is any help but good luck.0 -
