What's the largest amount of GB's I can get on a USB memory stick and where? (for saving files, work etc)

Or a harddrive (portable) could hold much much more... some I presume can hold 1TB...0

Bear in mind, when you're trying to write large amounts of data via the USB 2 interface to a USB Flash Drive, that it can be agonisingly slow. For example, assuming that you can write at 5 MB/s*, this scales up to 200 seconds per gigabyte written.What's the largest amount of GB's I can get on a USB memory stick and where? (for saving files, work etc)
