Buyer made mistake

Hello, Can anyone tell me what happens in this scenario -
Buyer wins item but says made mistake and doesnt want to pay. What does the buyer need to do and is there anything as a seller I can do to accelerate any steps which need to be taken. I assume the buyer cant be forced to proceed and the best that can happen is that I can get my listing fee back. Very frustrating as 10day listing. The listing was clear as to its description so just a matter of buyer not reading it properly.
Thanks in advance xx

you can file a non paying bidder, there is an option for "buyer and seller have agreed not to go ahead with transaction",then the buyer needs to agree to that, this way is the quickest and it does not go against either party(no black marks etc), it is best to inform the buyer that you will be doing this , so they do not get a shock, explain to them that it does not give them any sort of non paying bidder strike, and that you need to do it to claim back your listing and ending fees. Ebay will send them an email ,and when the buyer agrees to it you should get your fees back straight away, but you may not be able to file until a few days after auction ends(might be 7 days).
hope this helps0 -
as angie said, they know what they are doing when they bid - they enter a contract. But I suppose he is being honest with you!

There is another thread already running, I'll go and look for it and post a link. I think this must be the week for problem buyers.
However, never under any circumstances do a mutual fee reclaim, NOT EVER. The buyer is given a choice of options and if he ticks any of the wrong ones the seller loses their final value fees. Why trust a buyer to do that? They have already proved they can't handle using ebay by confirming they want to buy something then changing their mind, why trust them to assist in getting back your FVFs and letting thm off a strike. They did not pay, they deserve an NPB.
