Desperate for advice

I am at my wits ends after three months of getting no where...

I bought a pushchair of gumtree and stupidly paid for it via a bank transfer it cost me 537.00 alot of money....after countless emails and texts to the seller i have still received nothing and promises of a refund have never happended...all i have to contact the seller is a email address and a mobile number and his bank details, the land number i have just rings....

Gumtree have been no use at all

the bank wont help either because i have no address or any form of being able to trace him i am stuck....

Is it worth contacting a solocitor as i have no address for him...or the police....

Please any one help....
