Holiday Car Hire recommendations - Paphos airport?

Hi has anyone got any recommendations on what car hire firm to go with in Paphos? I went with Budget earlier in the year at Larnaca and I wasn't happy with them really (should have checked more thoroughly but it was a full to empty fuel policy + the "small car" asked for turned out to be a 4x4!).
And as an aside if someone is familiar with the area is there a handy supermarket on the way in to Paphos from the airport as we are SC.
