All, would appreciate comments/views. I've just received pet insurance renewal which comes to a staggering £911.88 for premier cover.
I've been with Marks for last five years and below is the premiums I've paid - note that the jump from 2005 to now is a 100%!
21 oct 05 to 20 oct 06 - 96.30
21 oct 06 to 20 oct 07 - 123.63
21 oct 07 to 20 oct 08 - 305.29
21 oct 08 to 20 oct 09 - 335.88
21 oct 09 to 20 oct 10 - 623.88
21 oct 10 to 20 oct 11 - 911.88
As my dog has a pre-existing condition I'm unable to switch as that condition could be excluded with the new insurance so I'm stuck with Marks!
Unless you have comments/advice on this?
Thanks.
Bozzy

Suggest you look at the Pets board as there is a specific insurance thread.
You basically have four choices - continue to pay what insurers are offering as terms and remain covered for the pre-existing condition;
effect a new policy and have anything remotely related to the pre-existing condition excluded;
Self-insure - which means that you set aside the insurance premium in a separate account each month and build up a fund so that you can pay your own claims;
Combination of the two - pay a lower premium to new insurers and exclude the pre-existing and put the balance of the M & S premium into a separate fund to pay any claims relating to the pre-existing.0
