answers needed asap please.

The very short version is i owed 1500 for council tax & it got sent to bailiffs even though i was under the impression it was being paid.The bailiffs have split it into 3 seperate debts even though its the same year & bill so every time its 3 charges on letters,visits ect.I rang bailiffs & they said can only pay it once they have listed my bits.They didnt come day they said they came 2dys after so i got 3 charges for not being in.Basically to cut alot out i wish id have read your pages & never let them in.But didnt want it eventually going to court & them saying i hadnt made any effort & me being sent to jail with an 11 year old daughter.So they listed my bits which dont cover no where near the debt before the charges.So they wanted 600 & odd 1st mth then 1045 next month.So i said id try 2 get loans etc.Couldnt do this so rang to pay 200 & once it had cleared i was told this wouldnt stop them from coming round to take my things.So i need to know now i signed the walkin possesion can they break in,can they take things that arnt listed,can they take things out of my 11 year olds room & if they do take all this can they come back once ive tried to replace my bits & take these?They posted a letter through my door saying if they didnt hear anything they would hand it back to council but they didnt cause they come back last week knocking my door down again.Im sick of being scared of being in my own home or coming home expecting my things to be gone.Council wont help they just say speak to bailiffs & they wouldnt use people like this,well obviously you are!just because i owe money it doesnt make me a liar or a second class citizen.I would really appriciate some answers asap.Thank you.

Hi Waszak.

Firstly, welcome to the forum, i'm really sorry to hear of the trouble you're having.

I can't offer you any advice as to what to do in your situation, but you've actually posted in the 'Debt Free Diaries' section. The section you need to post in is the Debt Free Wannabe Section. Someone much better qualified than me should be able to offer you some advice.

There is a user on here calledRobertoMoir , if you PM him he may be able to advise you, he used to be a Bailiff, but don't worry, he's very helpful.
There also used to be a user called Herbie21 but as far as i know she doesn't come on here very much anymore. She has a website called bailiffadviceonline you can go there but i think you may have to join up or something. There is an advice line that you can call, and it does cost about 60p per min but if you need that advice really quickly, it may be money well spent. You will be able to get the number from her site.

Hopefully is you repost this on the DFW section, someone should be able to give you the advice you need.
