Land Registry Title Register

Hi,

I was wondering if somebody could explain what the following would mean on a Title Registry under charges

2 (21.03.2005) REGISTERED CHARGE dated 23 December 2004.

3 (03.01.2008) Proprietor: LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC (Co. Regn. No. 2065)
of Barnett Way, Gloucester GL4 3RL.

I presume no 2 is the mortgage but am confused by number 3. Any help or guidance appreciated.

Almost certainly 2 & 3 both relate to a mortgage with Lloyds TSB dated Dec 2004.

However I'm unclear why 3) is dated 2008.

    Is there a 1) ??
  • Yes theres a 1 but it talks about trimming hedges and boundary lines.

Does this mean there are 2 mortgages?

Could this mean the property may have been used as security against another property?

I would say the owners bought the property on 23.12.2004 and took out a re-mortgage with lloyds on 3.1 2008 more or less dead on 3 years after the purchase.

possibly a 3 year mortgage deal ended?

Spot on, a top up loan. only one loan.

Same mortgage but mortgage transferred from Cheltenham & Gloucester plc to Lloyds TSB Bank plc.

As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.

Can anyone find this information out or does it have to be the owner of the property? I am worried because a member of my family has just obtained this information without my permission and I wondered what other information she can obtain without my permission.
She now knows that we've got a charge on our property, what date it was taken out and which bank we use. Although this isn't major information, I do not want her delving into any more of my affairs!

The Land Registry make Title documents and Plan available to anyone for £4

If you are asking about non-property-related financial information, well, are you a company director? Your company accounts are freely available via Companies House. Your personal banking info is confidential however.

That's right - usually they run computer programme to change the name of the bank etc on all titles affected and this alters the date of registration for that particular entry although the first part retains the original date.
