Flights to Canada Summer 2011

Just wondering if anyone can offer suggestions as to the cheapest way to get to Canada next summer?

2 adults & 2 children (5 & 3)
dates flexible, but will have to be around the end of July for at least 3 weeks

Flying to Moncton, New Brunswick (YQM) with a stopover in Toronto on the outbound for a few days. I know Moncton is a bit tricky to get into, so would consider flying into Halifax.

Have had a quick look around and AC & BA are all way over £3000 for all of us. Air Transat/Thomas Cook are about £2300 just MAN -YYZ openjaw YHZ - LGW, not incl the YYZ-YQM flight.

Is it best to book early? Are these published fares? Will consolodated rates be available in a few months?

Thanks in advance for any help, I know Canada is expensive to get to, but I've never know it to be this much.

Canada is more expensive to get to now, since the demise of Zoom.

Also, don't forget that taxes ex-UK are higher for next year.

Canadian Affair will be cheapest, but their prices are increasing towards BA/AC fares during popular periods.

I've used CanadianAffair to fly to Alberta & BC several times and always found them best for price. My last flight in April was £300 return from Manchester-Calgary. I would think in July prices will be higher but still cheaper than BA and others
    All the best

Thanks for all the replies everyone, I've tried all the suggestions mentioned.... It's always been difficult/pricey to get to the East coast, especially in peak season. We flew with zoom a few times from GLA-YHZ, and that was a great option. Will just have to start saving even more pennies!

Thanks for the code for canadian affair duckcity.
