EON if you give a meeting reading online they still use the estimated !

I signed up to use EON's online system so I could enter my own readings when they wanted them, all fine I thought I'm helping them out and my bills should be spot on.
I was wrong it seems from Jul this year onwards if you give them a meeting reading online they can choose to ignore it and still go with there estimated reading. I gave the actual readings 5 days after bill issued, I used to do the same before and it used to be factored in.
My last 2 bills my meeting readings were ignored and went with there estimated, there is some note on the web site telling users they ignore your meter readings if 1. A bill isn't due, I give the readings when 5 days of getting bill, and 2 if the true reading wouldn't impact the bill that much from there estimated, but it doesn't define this. The bill is so complicated you can't work out if you have been charged the correct rate.
I think its unfair of EON not to factor in the true meeting reading if we bother to enter them for them, it's no effort for them as no physical bill is produced and its all online and a simple calc for a computer.

Hi JustTakeAllMyMoney,
Sorry to hear of the online problems you have had.
I have spoken to a colleague in the internet department today for you, they have advised that you should be sent a meter reading request 14 days prior to your bill date, if after receiving this request you enter in your meter readings online we will automatically use these to bill your account.
If you wait until after the bill has already been produced we may not use these readings.
I hope this resolves the problem for you, but you can always contact me though the email address in my profile page and I will be happy to take a look at your account for you, I can also enter your up to date readings, if you would like me to
