Buyer claims item not received - tracking says delivered

I had an international buyer buy a low-value item from me, it went for £7. I felt in my waters that he was dodgy so I paid the extra for international tracking and sent off his item.
He's just claimed, a month after I sent it, that it's not arrived - I looked up the tracking number and it shows as delivered and signed for on the 31st August. I sent him the tracking number and the link to the "delivered" page and suggested he take it up with his local post office, but can I do anything to protect myself from a chargeback/negative feedback? I have over 500 feedback at 100% positive and don't want it ruined.
Ebay's help pages keep telling me what to do if I'm a buyer dealing with a dodgy seller, but nothing for the other way around unless he opens a dispute.

well if it says delivered pp will side with you if they open a case and then it's tuff poo poos to the buyer0
