Help regarding the credit

Hello,


How can i increase the chances of my credit limit from hsbc credit card which is £500 and using it regularly and paying it off every month.

Secondly my main bank is barclays where my salary come every month but i still waiting for the offer of credit card or overdraft from them.

Please help me how to raise the chances to be accepted.

I am earning 28k a year and also on the electoral. Moved in to London from Dubai 3 years ago and living on the same address from last 18 months.


Please advice.

welcome to the board. How long have you had the Halifax card?
How long have you banked with Barclays? You could always ask them for a credit card or you could try applying for a card from another provider.

Thanks for your quick reply, well i have HSBC card not halifax and i am using since march this year but really disappointed with barclays and its been 14 months with them and salary coming straight into that account.

Is it good idea to switch my bank with some other.

You don't need to change banks; that would probably make it more unlikely that you'll be offered credit cards. Ring Barclays and ask them if there are any offers available to you; they will be able to check your account and how you run your account.
There's also nothing stopping you from applying for cards from other credit card companies; just don't make too many applications in a short space of time as this will look like you are desperate for credit.
