Hiya
I have a Cheryl Cole obsessed daughter and I have agreed to take her to the Cheryl Cole book signing this Friday in London (must be mad )
I just dont know what time to get there??
Has anyone ever been to anything like this before??
The signing is at 1pm on Friday and my plan is to leave about 3AM ... yes AM
BUT so many people are saying I may be leaving it a little late!
If we get there and cant get in to see her my daughter will be absolutely distraught
Its only about half an hours drive from mine so should be there about 3.30-3.45AM.
Do you think I'm early enough?? bearing in mind I have an 8 year-old with me I dont want to be stuck in the middle of Piccadilly with no-one else around...... HELP!!!
Thanks as ever......
and yes I know I am wrong to take my daughter out of school before I get jumped on
ps sorry if this is on the wrong place... please feel free to move

Hey!
Sorry hun I have no idea but just wanted to say how cool your daughter must think you are!
I would have loved for my Mum to do something like that when I was a teen.
Hope you manage to get to see her
Much luck

Is it worth phoning the store and asking them what sort of time people have started queueing for previous book signings ?0

Hi there
Yes I have spoken with Waterstones but they wont really say, suppose they dont want to say the wrong thing which is understandable. They just said get here early!!
Anyone have any ideas of any forums or websites I could look at?? The Cheryl Cole website is down at the moment being re-vamped!
Why oh why did I agree to this
Think I'm just going to get there for about 1am and hope we are not the only ones there!!! Gonna be a very long night!!!0 -
When my friend and I went to James May's book signings at Selfridges last year we got there about 9 o'clock to queue for a signing starting at 12. I personally think that unless you are absolutely desperate to be right on the front you're going far too early and would say that more like 7 or 8 o'clock is a bit more feasible.
Oh, and I'm sure you know this, but take snacks and drinks - we weren't allowed to leave the queue once we were in it so having back-up food is essential!
Also, can you not take the train rather than driving? As that would save faffing about with parking and would be easier if you went a bit later."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

Well done OP, what a lovely mummy you are. Would do exactly the same for my daughter if Miley Cyrus was in town !0
