does everyone seem to be 'watching' everything just lately?
I only sell bits and bob's (outgrown clothes and toys etc,) but just lately when i list anything it just gathers watchers and no bids until the last few hours
Ive got 30 things listed on ebay at the moment all with 2 or 3 days left, all have at least 5 watchers and only 1 has been bid on!!

It's been like that me with lately, I mainly sell orniments and DVD's and get people watching items and in the end no-one bids so I presume it is just people have the same item and want to see how much it goes for so they can expect a certain price on their auction as I have done it in the past0

Id say on average sales are slightly slower in the summer months so that could explain more watchers and less bidders... but really I think its all random!! Sometimes you get 10 watchers and no bidders, other times 10 watchers and 10 bidders!0

most people sell on ebay now so they 'watch' your items to see what theirs will go for, some crafty peeps will nick your photo or/and listing cos you probs won't be looking back for the same thing!!!

There seems to be a lot of watchers out there right now............ to be fair I'm doing quite well.....over £1800 in sales in the last 5 weeks ...and in one case I had 53 watchers!! Mind you it was a high cost item for me ( £400+ ) so that's to be expected.
Maybe people are sussing out the markets prior to buying / selling in time for Christmas?
Mikeif i had known then what i know now0 -
I think there should be two watching buttons.
1} Watching cos I'm genuinely interested and will bid.
2} Watching cos I'm nosey.0 -
I've found I seem to be getting many watchers but few bidders lately, too.0

Same here 11 items listed (2 days left to run) and between 2-12 watchers on all items but only 2 have a single bid on each

All quality items as well, seen similar selling a few weeks ago for good money....
Glad to here it's not just me

Not a good idea. If the original selller complains then your listing will be pulled, if they pull too many you will be temporarily suspended.
There is a reporting mechanism just for copied auctions, so don't risk it.
