Ideas on how to wrap up a chocolate orange

Options
I have decided for £1 each the choc oranges will do for the work colleagues xmas presents, there are 10 of us, well 10 that I would give a token gift to so £10 for xmas at work done is great but have tried to wrap them so they are interesting and so far put red tissue paper around the orange box, a few strands of gold , then cellophane and a bow tie, it looks fine but nothing special, just a square box wrapped up anyone got more interesting ideas so it looks great and not just put together?

  • Why dont you wrap in brown paper, cut some antlers out of light brown card and tape them on (insert them into the brown paper you are wrapping it in and tape from the inside), use a black marker to put some eyes on it (or get sticky on googly ones) and then put a little red pom pom on the front so it looks like rudolf (albeit a very roudn fat faced rudolf.) :)

So the questions now would be what do I do, do I use two one for the back and front? What about the sides? How do I attach them, to be honest the rudolph looks like an over excited puppy:rotfl::rotfl:

Any help on how to proceed would be very gratefully recieved:D

Sorry to hijack OP's thread, but where can I find the £1 choc oranges? They'd make great presents for all the random people who I give token pressies to!

:DAsda do the oranges for £1 and sainsburys were doing them BOGOF for £2 which is £1 each, the co-op were £1.29, those and after eights in Asda were £1, you can also be lucky enough to get them from poundland both of the above, perfect to have wrapped up ready to go for the unexpected gift:D

If you are doing it with a template then I would just stick them to the front and back which would be fine although what I was thinking was taking it out of the box and actually wrapping it so that the orange becomes Rudolfs head. Use pipe cleaners to make antler shape(or cardboard per my previous post) then make a face with eyes and a tiny red pom pom glued to the front (or use sticky dots instead of glue). (Im maybe not very good at explaining!)

The other idea I had for you would be to make them into Xmas baubles and xmas crackers if you didnt want them all to be the same.

Baubles: You could take them out of the box and wrap in metallic Xmas paper so that the paper gather is all at the top. Tape a pipe cleaner or string to the inside of the top of the wrapping then twist the paper round it to keep it in place (make a loop with the pipe cleaner or string so it looks like a bauble for hanging on a Xmas tree). Maybe just wrap a little bit of tinsel round it so it looks neater.

Xmas cracker: Pretty simple, just wrap in Xmas paper and twist the ends then tie some tinsel to each end in a bow.

You could also make a snowman. Wrap the orange (out of the box) in cotton wool padding and put some black stickers down the front for buttons. Make a slightly bigger ball on top then a little cotton wool ball on top of that with a face on it.

Im getting carried away now so best be off. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
