BMI cancelled Flights

Looking for help here please, My daughter booked her honeymoon flights to New York With BMI to fly Continental, it would appear that BMI are the handling agents in the UK. When she arrived at the airport she was informed that her flights had been cancelled and that if she wanted to fly she would have to book direct with continental and pay double what BMI had allready Charged her card, BMI didnt want to know, and say continental cancelled the booking, whilst Continental say BMI canceeled the booking. Now they have taken a further £190 from her card. This is all despite having E tickets and booking confirmations and having paid them. They now want proof that she has flown with Continental before refunding any money, and wont refund the difference in price between their fare and the new continental fare. Can anyone help as BMI wont talk to me as Im not on the booking, but my daughter is in NY on honeymoon but is a good few pounds out of pockect. J

  • It looks like she will have to wait until she gets home to sort it out.
As the booking was made through BMI then it is their complaints procedure she will need to follow.

Reading the story I don't think any flights were cancelled at all, only the reservation. I cannot understand why you would book with BMI on a route they have never operated but more imprtantly, it does seem that the reservation systems have failed to talk to one another. If it was a direct booking with BMI on their website, contact customer services at Donnington Hall, their Headquarters, in the meantime if you have the reservation PNR, a collection of 6 numbers and letters you could try checking on www.checkmytrip.com as that is where BMI reservations can normally be found. If it draws a blank, it is BMI's fault not Continental Airlines
