I thought I was reading about my hubby!!! This is exactly why I joined this forum!! Except for a few differences!! THEY lowered my huddey from hrm & mrc to just lrc, we asked for reconsideration and failed! We appealed and are awaiting tribunal since 11/2009. 4/2010 his condition worsened to the degree he is now permanantly wheelchair bound. He had previously been in & out of wheelchair over past 11 years. Over those 11 years adaptions (social services/council) have ramped our property, stairlift, wet room to name a few, due to his disabilities. He has also been diagnosed with copd as well as the back, hip, groin and leg problems!! Due to his fall and ending up in wheelchair we put in change of circumstances form. They took 13 weeks to send out doc for visit, when he came despite hubby being in wheelchair, he asked him to stand up!!! and then wondered why we said he couldnt do that??? beggars belief!! we explained he would collapse to the floor if he attempted to & would need help up. % weeks after doc visit we got letter saying NO CHANGE TO DLA!!! LRC ONLY!! Phoned up for doc report, reasons for decision, and GL24. doctor report clearly states that "LIVEAS A VERY INVALID LIFE WITH USE OF MULTIPLE AIDS, UNABLE TO WALK AND CARE+++ OF WIFE" what does that say to anyone readig this?
so my thoughts are with you because i know what u r going through!!!0 -
