hi i have tried to synchronise lots of music from my library to my mp3 player . when i turned it on it says "no file". i took one back to the shop as i thought it was faulty but the new (and different) one does the same thing. however when i connect it to the computer it displays the whole list of songs that i wanted on there. any ideas anyone as this is driving me crazy!!!

Mmmm, I'm not entirely sure, but it sounds like you're loading the tracks onto the player but the player isn't recognising them. This would suggest that the tracks aren't of the correct format for the player (tags etc), which is not unusual if you download from the dreaded Limewire.
I would clear all the tracks off the player, rip a cd to mp3 format using WMP (or you're favourite) and upload the result to your player and see what happens. If the tracks play, the tracks you've downloaded aren't liked by your player.0 -

Some mp3 players can act as usb flash disks. What happens sometimes is when you transfer mp3s over from your pc to the mp3 player, the mp3 player will treat it as a stored file and won't play it. Which might explain why you can see it but not play it. The same thing happens with my ipod shuffle, if I copy and paste mp3s over to it they won't play. It will only play them if I use itunes to transfer them.
Have you got any software that came with it to transfer mp3s or are you copying them yourself? Also when you plug in the mp3 player, check to see if there is a specific 'audio', 'music' or 'mp3' folder on it and make sure that's where you transfer your mp3s to.Maybe you're the same as me, we see things they'll never see...0 -
