I have managed to change the duration of windows recorder in the past but I can't seem to do it now.
Troubleshoot audio-recording problems
Am I entering the correct thing into command prompt if I type the following line, as windows recorder does not open for me:
SoundRecorder/ FILE output.wma /DURATION 0001:00:00

Edit: actually it seems to be recording already but not sure where...

sndrec32.exe works for me in XP0

Have given up trying to get windows recorder working and installed audacity.
sndrec32.exe can't be found in vista.0
