SKY insurance

Hi, I've just had Sky on the phone telling me my warranty for my box etc has run out and trying to sell me insurance to cover all the equipment. It's over £8 per month. I didn't ask all the ins and outs (whether there's an excess etc) but tbh I already fork out a large chunk to Sky each month - should I take out the insurance or not?
Thanks in advance
Caz
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:

It's almost certainly not Sky. See other threads.

And no. Sky will charge you about £60 to cover parts and labour if it goes wrong. Whoever it is ringing you want £96 a year just in case it does.

Oh, thank you. She's phoning back at 7.30pm tonight. I wonder how I can politely tell her to get stuffed, lol.

    Edit
Just checked the phone number 008001218143 which confirms it is a scam.
    Thanks you guys x

Is there a polite way to tell someone to get stuffed? I wouldn't bother to answer the phone.
