scottish power is doing my head in !!!
below is the email i sent them yesterday
On the 11th september we placed £ 20 on our quantum gas meter card, the meter was running on emergency credit, i tried all weekend to put the credit onto the meter but it would not register.
I phoned your office on monday the 13th sept, explaining that the meter displayed call help & the credit would not register and was told " an engineer would not come out until the meter read £ 0.00.
I phoned again on the 13th sept spoke to someone else who sent an engineer out who replaced the " faulty meter" , meanwhile i had put another £ 20 credit onto the card. The engineer transferred all details from old meter - new meter.
The meter would not take the credit of the card, i took the card back to the paypoint & was told the balance was nill.
I phoned scottish power once again & they said they would send a new card out, as i had already told them i was going on vacation but someone was staying to look after the house, and was told they would check up with the paypoint to see that i had made the £ 40 payment.
I went on vacation & my daughter was in touch with scottish power several times and told firstly that " a new card would be sent out with the £ 40 on it " by friday the 24 th she had phoned back to say the emergency gas the engineer put on the meter was down to 5 pence & yet again was told they would not come out till the meter read £ 0.00. She then phoned back , an engineer came out, put emergency credit back on.In the space of the 10 days that i was away we received 6 new cards , YES 6 NEW CARDS , one of which works and my daughter was told just to go the pay point each day and put a £ 1 or so on the card, as the origional £ 40 was being sent back to the paypoint.
I have been back from vacation & put more money onto the card, but the £ 40 has not arrived
At this moment in time, i am pretty peeved off with scottish power's service over the telephone, i have no problem with the engineers who, came and did their job, and at this moment in time i have every intention of contacting the national newspapers if this matter is not resolved within the next 48 hrs.

Hi mmoyra
I am very sorry to hear about your situation. It is not normal to receive 6 new cards. A signal should have been sent to your local paypoint outlet to credit your meter with £40. This signal can sometimes require you to vend 3 times over 3 seperate days. If you have done this and still not picked up the £40 credit, I would contact our prepayment team as they will be able to check the current situation and whether the signal is still waiting on being picked up.
Let me know if you have any questions or require further assistance and I will be more than happy to help.
Kind Regards
