Water Covenant

Bit of advice please:
We live in a farmhouse (we don't farm) which we purchased some 10 or so years ago. We get our domestic water supply from a shared spring. The shared spring supplies 6 properties comprising one working farm (cattle & sheep) and five houses. The five houses are pretty normal "domestic" properties with the usual 2.4 Children, each.
Whilst the working farm has a significantly higher water consumption in comparason to the five other properties, on our property deeds,in the form of a covenant, the cost of maintaing the shared spring is divided, equally, between the 6 properties it supplies. I understand the actual "bricks & mortar" of the spring itself will not be affected by the volume of water each user takes. However, this last year we have noticed that the level of water is lowering in the spring. This is (I guess) partly because of drought conditions and partly because of consumption by the working farm.
We have now learened that the working farm has plans to double its cattle holding, and therefore effectively doubling its water consumption.
With this in mind we are now considering a bore hole supply, just for our own domestic use. I will therefore want to be removed from the obligations of the covenant in the property deeds.
I am happy to pay to have the deeds of the other 5 properties updated.
What else should I consider and can any of the other 5 properties raise an objection to this removal of the covenant?
