A few months ago we bought my son a pair of Nike football boots in the sale, he's worn them a few times and to our disgust they stink of cat pee!!
I googled 'football boots smell of cat pee' in the hope of finding a cure and my search led me to a BBC Watchdog page which said that back in 2008 there was a recognised problem with some Nike boots and that Nike were exchanging them.
Seeing as this was 2 years ago I didn't hold out much hope but emailed Nike explaining the problem. They asked me to return them to my local store who today exchanged them for a brand new pair of (non-smelly) boots!
Well done Nike!
