Access has been denied to email - please help

Tried to get into my hotmail account as normal today and instead of going to my in box I got this message
Norton Internet Security has blocked access to this restricted site.
Site: http://www.hotmail.msn.com
Blocked categories: Interactive/Mail
If you think this web site is incorrectly categorized, visit the Symantec Internet Security Center to report it.
So I went to the Security Centre and 'allowed it'
I thought it might be something to do with parental controls, but I now don't have the option of turning that on and off and every time I try to do something in Security centre, it says 'you do not have specific access' etc
How can I get things back to normal please ??
