can someone plz tell me if claiming child tax credits will change the amount of income support i get?? i was advised i can claim but dont want to lose income support.often getting 1 benefit means losing,some or all of another.
i have 1 child who is registered disabled & he receives high rate care component & high rate mobility component disabilty allowance,i also receive carers allowance and child benefit, along with the income support,plz advise,

thank you very much,but can you also tell me if there is some way i can get all this calculated without asking the benefits agency etc,maybe online somewhere?

If you put your details into this calculator, you'll get a rough idea of what you are entitled to. You will still have to apply for the benefits/tax credits to the relevent agencies though.

If you get a premium on your IS for your children you loose this, but get it back via child tax credits.
