Hastings Direct Car Insurance

I just managed to knock around £100 off my policy renewal with Hastings Direct coming out as the best value (not cheapest) deal. I used Martins methods as I always do but I wasn't expecting a great result this year as unfortunately I had a claim last year when my car was stolen following a burglary. My existing company whacked up my premium by and extra £200 so I wasn't altogether happy.
After spending a couple of hours ensuring I had a good deal I found that Hastings direct could shave £100 off my renewal and also give me a voucher for a half price MOT which isn't bad. I then found quidco had a linked deal offering £61 cashback too so if the cashback arrives I will have saved £160ish on my renewal.
Result!
Just checked now and the cashback has tracked so fingers crossed it all comes good! Happy again now - was dreading the knock on from the theft.
