Afternoon all

Jo - I'm with Marru....let OH do the cooking for a change. He's had years of you doing everything for him...make him fend for himself!:D

Rather tired of cold meats and pickles now:rotfl:So tonight we are having pork warmed in gravy, jacket potato with cheese and a big pile of cabbage. Yum!:)

We never managed to get out to the shops. I found some salmon from the freezer and there is pasta and pesto sauce so that should do for tea. Tomorrow DD should be well enough to be dragged to !kea so we can have some meatballs there for lunch and do some food shopping on the way back.

We got a pressure cooker of my parents for xmas (I asked for it ) .... Just playing with Turkey stock and vegetables at the moment though I feel a treacle or jam steam pudding coming on .... though we have a whole xmas pud in the fridge .... I'm gonna be putting on weight :rotfl:

I've got a pressure cooker - sitting still in it's box at the back of a cupboard-I'm afraid to use it:o I think that will be one of my resolutions to experiment with it. Or perhaps I'll ask my OH...

Mrs BHB is afraid of it too . She puts on a tin hat, large gloves and goggles when she comes in the kitchen when I'm 'playing' :rotfl:

Jam sponge pudding and home made egg custard was LURVERLY !! Haven't made proper custard for ages but we had no corn flour or custard powder so it was 'back to basics' with eggs,milk and vanilla.

Supermarket curry for us for lunch (DS is pleased)

I've just spent an hour queuing at the local tip because the bin men haven't been able to get round for a couple of weeks, oh the joys of Christmas!
