Hotels + Resort Fee after booking?

Morning all,
Little bit lost with this one, hidden costs and all that
Booked a hotel room through alpharooms.com (used them many times so they are ok mind..)
Hotel booked was the excalibur in Las Vegas. Paid the full amount on the website as you do, read through all the info and terms and conditions, etc... I believe that paying the full amount is just that, the full amount...
But on arrival, got told theres an additional resort fee of $10 a day, so an extra $70 i have to cough up (which is nearly £50)....
I could have booked several different hotels which dont charge a resort fee as i just found out, but what gets me most is this:
There is no reference at all to extra fee's on alpharooms, so am i right to try and claim back this extra cost from Alpharooms, when they either should have included the hidden cost or at most, informed that there is an extra fee payable locally ???

They state on their website that all government taxes etc are included so I think you have a good arguement, however Alpha Rooms are notoriously difficult to get hold of, so it could take a while!
Their website states:
If you incur additional expenses and you feel these should be paid by AlphaRooms, we will only consider claims when full invoices or receipts for those expenses are produced. Please note production of these invoices or receipts does not automatically mean we will cover those expenses.COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0 -
