B & Q are one of the highest priced (if not the highest priced) operators in the DIY / Home improvement sector. They have a massive mark up on all of their stock. I had to buy a single kitchen cupboard door for a customer last week. It was £32 through B & Q but if I got it via tradepoint, it was £14. This is for something that has a Factory Gate price that is probably no ore than £4.00. This just proves that they can easily lower all of their prices and still make ample profit. I would have no hesitation in making up a Fake ID. If it was 'Fraud', then B & Q would be accessories to this for failing to undertake appropriate checks.

I said fraudulent not fraud. There's a world of difference IMHO between going into the likes of a plumbers/decorators/builders merchant and saying "I'm self building (or whatever) and going to be spending £X in the next few months how about a decent across the board discount" (resulting in being granted a trade account on that basis) and deliberately lying by a) pretending to be in the trade and b) forging documents in order to open a trade account. Perhaps I'm just old fashioned.

    Cheers

Never noticed any difference in trade point prices or standard off the shelf prices.
