Hi wonder if anyone can give me some advice I was on deepdale retail park yesterday parked in a disabled bay, I got out my blue badge the picked up my bag , I forgot to display it in the window and left it on the seat. When i came out of the shop 5 minutes later i had a parking ticket. I drove straight to the hut and explained and asked they had seen my disabled tax which they said they did but still had to issue me with a fine. please tell me what I should do.
I do know it should have been displayed but I genuinly forgot

Was this a private car-park, and if so, who what is the name of the parking company?
If this is a private parking ticket then it certainly isn't a "fine", it's an invoice which you do not have to pay. Furthermore the blue-badge scheme does not apply in private car-parks.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
It's not a fine. It's an unenforceable invoice. Private companies have no powers in law to issue fines. It's a scam.
Disabled bays on private land have no legal basis.
• do not pay
• do not contact them
• ignore their threatening junkmail
• they will give up and go away
Is this Parking Eye by any chance?0 -
the company is called UK CPS Ltd
it is a shopping complex and it doesnt have the parking eye
but it is owned by the council and shops rent the units0 -
Ignore it. Whenever I go to Deepdale, I look out for cars with tickets on them, and try to leave a helpful note.0

Yet another case of UKCPS victimizing a disabled driver who has made a simple mistake. Mobilise, are you still proud to be associated with these people. And how about a comment from you Peter Haswell ("office manager" of UKCPS)What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Yes don't bother appealing, they'll send a letter trying to make you feel guilty offering a reduced charge giving you membership to what we have found to be a pointless joke of a charity, while pocketing some money themselves in the process.0

It's not a fine.
It is an invoice for breach of contract, for which they have to prove demonstrable loss.
A disabled person using a disabled bay has cost them zero.0 -
Mobilise I hope you are proud to be associated with these scammers, you claim to represent disabled drivers, what is your take on the fact that the person issuing this ticket could see the badge on the seat, yet still went ahead and gave a ticket ? Is it to pay the ticket by getting a discount on it by joining your so called charity ?
And dolphin you know that bays in private car parks are advisory only, the reason I know that you know is because you used to advise people of this before jumping into bed with the PPCs, and the term 'advisory' is directly from you !
Its funny that a dolphin has such a cosy relationship with sharks, each to their own I guess, did you win any awards in the PPCs dinner & scam conference, I guess the charity ppc scam award went to you guysExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
