Looking for a nice country cottage, ideas?

Hi guys, decided I want to go and get away from it all for a few days at the end of Nov, and I would like ideas for a country cottage, pref in a nice village, near staffs, cheshire or peaks, for easy travelling. So many online sites for cottage rental no idea where to start.

I've used Welcome Holidays many times and never been disappointed. As price is often based on location avoid the more well known areas and try to look for a small village that's within easy reach of the sights but not necessarily in a 'name' place
