Opening hotmail attachments...

Occasionally there are attachments on hotmail that I wish to open ......:). However, almost invariably the attachment fails to open if I'm using IE but always opens if I use Opera - any ideas why this might be the case and how it might be rectified?

More than likely the security settings on IE, but they're there for a reason. Stick with Opera to check Hotmail if possible. More secure.0

Perhaps I should clarify a little more. When opening hotmail attachments in IE, hotmail scans it and states "no virus found". I then press the "download attachment" button and a new box (File Download) pops up showing the familiar icons of a message being sent from the world icon to a folder. Shotly after another box pops up saying "Internet explorer cannot download xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx from 65.54.175.250" I've googled this site - apparently it's hotmail's. Other ppl have also had exactly the same problem - but I have not yet seen a definitive solution!0
