Narrow Hallway - will sofa fit?

Hi,
Hope someone can help ... we have a narrow hallway (terraced Victorian house). We'd like to get a 3 seater and 2 seater sofa into the lounge off this hallway.
But we're worried we will buy one and then not be able to turn it in the narrow hallway so as to be able to get it through the door!!
I know it's probably a dim question, but is there a "scientific"/reliable way of measuring to calculate what the maximum size of sofa is that we'll be able to turn to get through?
Have measured the front door frame and lounge door frame width and these are c. 75cm which seems standard.
When we viewed the house we seem to remember the sellers had a 3 seater and 2 seater in the lounge but our memories might be deceptive...
Many thx in advance.

Good stuff on that thread.
having moved house 10 times in 10 years, the only house we had an issue with was a new build town house where the lounge was on the first floor.
Even in that house we managed it eventually.
You'll usually find that turning the sofa on end as you get to a doorway and dragging it through, turning as you go will get most sofas in - as long as it's not much higher than the doorway.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

easy way is to check with the neighbours what they have. if the 2/3 seaters went into their houses, they should fit into yours.
btw.
very very few houses have any problems with 99% of sofas. the delivery chaps are pretty well used to the access problem.Get some gorm.0 -
Hi
Just belatedly coming back to this thread(!) to thank those who replied - really helpful advice and links, thank you all.
Fingers crossed we get it right or we'll be falling over a sofa in the hallway for a while...0
