  • Is this product covered under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme? (I am struggling to find a decisive answer)

Yes, it's a normal savings account and Santander are covered by the FSCS.

    Hi

Just wandered how these tracker bonds work? E.g. can you view them through online banking? What are the savings certificates all about? How do you register for gross interest for them?

Is there a sort code that comes with them?

    thanks

I had a A and L bond previously and i could see it on line. I have also taken one of these 3% tracker accounts (I didnt go for the loyalty bonus as I am thinking of leaving A and L and if I dont have a current account they would cancel the bond!)

If "have a current account" is the only condition then can't you just keep your account open and never use it?
