Hi folks,
I've today come back off holiday to be informed the company i work for has gone into liquidation and we've all lost our jobs. There is probably a week or so's work for me and a couple of others sorting out loose ends but after this week we're all redundant.
Now i haven't gone into this much yet as i was only told late on today so will speak to the job centre tomorrow to register a claim but is there anything that i may be entitled to seeing as i'm disabled (type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, carpal tunnel, chronic liver disease)
I dont think there is payment wise but what about any furhter assistance with looking for work or even possible retraining through the jobcentre.
Cheers
Kev

The Jobcentre should have a Disability Adviser you can make an appointment with if you're on Jobseekers Allowance."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0

As you are fit for work, you will not be able to claim ESA. Your eligibility for any courses will be the same as anyone else on JSA. If you ask the DEA they can tell you what is available.Gone ... or have I?0
