Hi All
Please help!
I am planning to replace my phone soon – before it dies! It is already being temperamental. However, before I do that I need to get all my photos off my phone as I understand that even if I move my sim card to my new phone it won’t take my photos as well.
Herein lies the problem - I have tried several times to get my photos to transfer to my computer, but it just won’t play ball. Any suggestions gratefully received!
I have loaded the software onto my computer and have been using the usb cable to connect my phone to the computer. Yesterday I got further than I have ever managed to do – the phone and computer successfully connected and I got it to synchronise once! I have transferred all my photos from the ‘camera pictures’ to a new folder that I have created within Pictures on my phone. Yesterday I tested this and got a couple of photos to transfer to my computer – success! However, after that the synchronisation continually failed (error messages = ‘synchronisation could not be started’ and ‘the connection to your phone timed out’) and the file manager no longer showed anything!
Does anyone have any suggestions why the connection timed out, what I can do to reconnect it and how on earth I can get my photos from my phone to my computer without having to send them individually as messages to my email inbox – which does work, but will prove to be very expensive!
Please help!

Do you have any energy saving or standby setting on the phone that are causing the connection to time out?
Also, are you using the latest version of the synchronisation software?

i had a v600i on vodaphone a few years back that i found, and was blacklisted....long story short i ended up usung it as a camera for a while, and got all my pix off no probs using a Bluetooth dongle, shouldnt be too expensive to pick one up.
re the pc connection, if there is a "baud rate" option, change to somewhere in the region of 11000, it may help.0 -
Thanks for your help - I will give these suggestions a go and get back to you!PigginSkint's debt free diary

I don't think I have got an energy saving or standby setting on my phone.
I have just tried the synchronisation again and it did work - I can now see all the folders on my phone and all the default setting pictures........but none of my own photos! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
I could see them before so why I can't see them now is a mystery to me!
As far as I know I am using the latest version of the synchronisation software because I remember downloading stuff from this website very recently.PigginSkint's debt free diary

how would the bluetooth dongle actually work? sorry I am not really up to speed with blue tooth!
re the 'baud rate' - I am looking at my control panel, where would I find this?PigginSkint's debt free diary
