Hi,
I want to connect my laptop to the tv, but I cannot get it working
.
I think I have the correct cables, I've got an s-video connector and a cable to plug in one end of the s-video connector and the tv. I got the wires to work with my PC so I suppose they should work with my laptop.
I followed the instructions from here but it shows up as not connected. I have updated my drivers, restarted and unpluggged but still work work.
My laptop is an HP Pavilion ze4801ea. I think this is my graphics card Radeon igp 320m.
Maybe it could be the connector on my laptop, how do I check it is working, and how do I fix it if it is?
Hopefully someone can help
James

Sorry, cannot get the link to work but have you found the key on your laptop to swap between internal & external screen? On most laptops it's one of the Fn combination keys.
Incidentally, you'll find that you'll only get a decent picture on your TV if it's a TFT - older CRT screens cannot handle the resolutions required & look terrible.0 -
Hi
On my HP laptop dv5000 series, the key combination is 'Fn' + 'F4'
Press the Fn key then press F4 while still holding down Fn.
