Hi my wife has bought a sykpe phone to do an interview qith someone in he US for her M.A. course and would ideally need to record it. The headphones use a dual microphone and headphone socket inputs rather than USB which we thought we'd bought.

I use Audacity to 'grab' streams etc. No length issues, but unsure how this would work with skype. I assume you'd need to have the audio routed to speakers rather than through the headphones, but could be worth checking it out and see if it works.
get it here. Oh, and it's Open Source, so no fees!
