Hidden gem in lakes with open fire?

Anyone got a hidden gem up their sleeves please self-catering in or around the Lake District? OH and I are looking for a short break up there with the only requirement being an open fire! Best rate I've found so far is £300 - any better for 4 nights?

Thanks, that's gorgeous. Have found some on https://www.lakescottageholiday.co.uk for £255 but seeing as I can get SC cottage with fire in Snowdonia for £160 I was hoping for another little bargain! Would be nice from 11th (as that's our 'anniversary' of getting together) however it won't be before 28th Oct that we can go.

Have you looked at Church Farm Cottages in Gamblesby?
Don't discount a woodburing stove - they're even more fab than an open fire!
