Barclays Regular Saver

Hi,
My wife's regular saver account with Barclays has just matured but we are not sure what account to move this money to, we really need access to it as the rest of our savings are mainly in fixed rate cash isa's.

Any ideas ?

Thanks.

How about the AA's 2.8% instant access account, the bonus is fixed for a year, giving a reasonable return as well as instant access.
  • I would suggest also looking at new regular saver options, some of which would allow close to instant access at least once a year:

and, of course, Lloyds Vantage current accounts.

    The same with me.

I simply renewed the regular saver with Barclays. Their current monthly saver offer is also around 2.8% and it made for a low hassle renewal - just a change of account number - compared with going to another provider.

As regards the accumulated proceeds, nobody's offering decent interest unless you're prepared to lock it away for years.

I'm going to go with the Halifax Websaver Extra, as recommended by Martin. The top payers are all foreign owned - Santander, Post Office etc - and only paying a miniscule amount above Halifax. I'm one of those crazy people who still like to buy British when they can.
