Hi
I have been reading the boards for a few weeks now after realising that my spending has got out of control.
I just want to say that after reading these boards I have become inspired to beat my needless spending and pay off all debts as soon as possible. When I am debt free I will be cutting up all my credit cards, only using cash, thinking do I really need this or do I just want this?
I managed to pay off 12% off the total debt last week, only 88% left to go. Luckily we have no mortgage arrears, ccjs, defaults etc and have a good credit score. I have had my lightbulb moment and actually the scariest thing was adding up the total. Every month the payments are made will be another step towards becoming debt free.
I am not looking for any sympathy or advice just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration x :T

Hi and welcome
Glad you feel you have managed to make a change to the way you view spending and debts. Thats often the hardest thing to do.
If you start slipping or need some extra motivation then a read through the boards is always a good motivator.
Good luck.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
