Used car sales and ext warranty

Hi
Last year i purchased a car from a main dealer, on finance with an extended 3 yr warranty, (Laguna 2006 65000) we purchased the warranty because of the high mileage, since then i have around 10 visits back

1. one light out and no wipers (2 visits)
2. Brakes - this took 5 visits to fix - with the brake fluid cap left off during two visits (6, yes 6 Visits)
3. Glow plugs replaced (1 Visit)
4. catalytic converter replaced (1 visit)
5. Car reader repaired (Broke when i collected the car, but was OK when they parked it up -yeah right)
This car has spent over 3 weeks in the dealership this year, and now on the 12 month anniversary the turbo or bits of, are playing up, and surprise surprise, the diagnostics and these parts are not covered, so i have to fork out another £400,
What are my Rights considering all the issues i have had
(and i know i should not have brought a car with 65000 miles on it, but i though with the warranty i would be OK) any advice ?
Should i ask them for help with it ?
Can i take it back ?
Can i get the finance company too ?
Etc...
Much appreciated
Cheers

  • Hi

The finance company won't do anything in this instance so you can discount that option.

It's extremely unlikely the dealer would take the car back.

Therefore your best option is to ask them for help - your problems surround what appears to be a lack of customer service.

Express your concerns to them and ask for them to cover/or contribute to the turbo problem. If they refuse then escalate the matter to Renault UK.

(I'm obviously assuming that when you say you've bought the car from a Main Dealer you mean a Renault Main Dealer).

    Best of luck
