Missed appointment at jobcentre

One of the benefits i am on is lone parent income support, i have a mandatory appointment every 6 months and it was today and i just totally forgot! I'm annoyed with myself cos i've been reminding myself every day about this appointment. Will they stop my money? I rang the central number and asked to be put through to my one where the appointment was he said yes ok he put me through then it said number not recognised.

    The appointment was "mandatory" for your benefit so yes the benefit could be stopped until you sort it out.

    Suggest you forget ringing and go down to where it was and explain.
