Booking ferries online paying in Euros - Which Card?

I am booking a ferry online from Ireland to France and am wondering which of my cards should I use to (a) save the most money and also (b) get the best exchange rate.

I have the following:
  • Nationwide cash card+ which is a debit card
  • Alliance & Leicester debit card
  • Halifax Reward debit card
I am thinking probably my Nationwide one, but tbh I'm a bit confused about different fees and % A&L talk about. All this will be before 1st Nov, when their T&C change btw.

Irish Ferries also say,

"Electronic Payments: We accept payment by most credit and debit cards, with the particular exception of American Express and Diners Club. Whether online or otherwise, a handling fee of £5/€6 per booking (not per passenger / journey) applies to such payments. Euro transactions via Visa Debit and Sterling transactions via Visa Electron do not attract this handling fee."

So it looks as though they will not charge me anything extra anyway....

Any advice? Thanks
